천재적 재능을 지닌 디제이 프랭키 와일드는 수퍼 스타급 디제이에 등극, 레이브파티의 천국 스페인 이비자의 저택에서 화려한 생활을 누리고 있다. 멋진 빌라와 멋진 아내. 그러던 어느 날 타고난 청력 장애로 한쪽 귀가 먹고 나머지 청력도 거의 잃어버릴 것임을 알게 된 프랭키. 관중들에게 외면받고 레코드 회사에선 잘리고 아내에게서 버림받은 프랭키는 누에고치 속의 번데기처럼 숨어버린다. 이대로 끝내고 말 것인가, 아니면 고치를 벗어나온 나비처럼 더 나은 존재로 탈바꿈할 수 있을 것인가…
<X됐다, 피트 통>은 자신이 가장 좋아하는 일을 하기 때문에 가장 치명적인 해를 입는 비극을 다루고 있지만, 코믹하고 신나고 열정적인 영화다. 감독은 음악과 사운드의 시각화를 시도하며, 디제잉과 음악과 영상이 리믹스되는 감각적이고 신선한 편집에 도전하고 있다. 엄청나게 짜증나는 캐릭터이면서도 결코 미워할 수 없는 디제이 프랭키 와일드 역의 폴 카이에가 매력적인 연기를 선보인다.

A genius in his own right, Frankie Wilde has clawed his way to the top of the DJ ranks, now living the opulent life of a superstar, he resides in his trophy villa in Ibiza with his trophy wife. This is when tragedy hits. Born with a degenerative hearing disorder he is rapidly going deaf with only one functioning ear to complete the new Ibiza season. With only 20% hearing left Frankie can’t mix, the crowds desert him, record company drop him, wife dumps him and his manager abandon’s him…

마이클 도우즈 Michael DOWSE

아일랜드 이민가족 출신으로 캐나다 캘거리에서 자랐다. 예일대에서 MBA 수료 후, 단편과 광고, 뮤직비디오와 장편영화의 편집 등의 작업을 했다. 2000년 <엉망진창 Fubar>로 장편 데뷔, 선댄스에서 선보인 후 천재성을 인정받았다. <X됐다, 피트 통>은 두 번째 장편.

Born into an Irish immigrant family and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After graduating with his MBA from Yale business school, he started out as a director of short films, commercials and music videos as well as an editor on feature films. In the 2000 he made his first feature FUBAR, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. FUBAR went on to be released all over the globe and Dowse was nominated for a Genie for his work. It’s All Gone Pete Tong is Dowse’s second feature.
